Agenda
World Championship – eliminations
Involving at least 72 dancing pairs from around the world (2 pairs from each country + individual entries) – from 12AM to 4PM.
World Championship – Evening Gala from 8PM to 10PM
- opening ceremony – official opening of the Championship, artistic performance (duration: 20 min.)
- Semifinals & Finals – 12 dancing couples (duration: 50 min.),
- additional performances in the intervals between rounds (duration: 30 min. – 20 + 10 min.)
- closing ceremony – announcement of results, awarding trophies/medals, artistic performance, official closing of the Championship (duration: 15 min.)
Additional performances between the rounds: TOP 12 Championship’s dancing couples (Standard dance style) show, various dance styles’ shows by the Masters from around the world in this category (Freestyle), dancing shows from the Dancing With The Stars couples.
Registration
We are very happy to offer you FULL HOSPITALITY PACKAGE, that includes:
- entry fee (all-day entry to the eliminations and further phases of the tournament)
- entrance and two seats for the Evening Gala (in case you don’t qualify to the TOP 12)
- accomodation - two nights in Double Tree by Hilton Hotel *****
- full board: Oct 23rd - dinner; Oct 24th - breakfast, dinner, Oct 25th – breakfastsupper & party after the Evening
- Galataxi service from/to the airport
Please note there are two possibilities to enter the competition
- Each country is allowed to register for the tournament max. 2 couples - national representatives. If you are an official representative of the country and want to submit - select national registration. In that case you will get FULL HOSPITALITY PACKAGE for free.
- If you are couple that have not been nominated as "national representative”, we invite you to self-register by clicking on individual registration. In that case your FULL HOSPITALITY PACKAGE you will get for 500 EUR (for a couple)
At every stage of the qualification part, starting at 1/16, through 1/8, 1/4 and the semi-final, until the grand finale of the world championships, couples will dance all 5 Latin dances – Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive (each dance is a max. two-minute demonstration). Professional adjudicators are responsible for marking best couples to be passed forward to the next round. Only 6 couples are passed to the final round.
